Hooves ripped at the earth as Desert slid to a stop on a gently-sloping hill. Many more were laid out in front of him, with small creeks running past their bases. A look of joy was pasted on his facade as he scanned his terra. Most would not find it very pleasing. Karora was mostly a large area of hills, dotted with some foliage and a large amount of streams. Nor was there breathtaking scenery in the distance, as many terras in this land did. But Desert still loved it. He saw beauty in the overcast domain that many could not. And now he had someone to share his home with. He hoped Solena would like it also. Craning his serpentine back, he called to her. "Her it is, Solena," he said. "Karora."

Solena tore after Desert, she loved the pace he set. Although she oculd go faster she kept even with the stag until they came to trees. Then following behind him, she saw Karora after he stopped. It was wide and somewhat open. She loved all the streams, but made no attepmt to slow as she approached one, her swoft hind limbs pushed off the earth with great force as she quickly left that side of the stream behind. Landing on the other side she turned to meet he King.
Tis a beautiful place, better than I had imagined. Just perfect for running and jumping.
She smiled and began to look around, from the streams to the trees and the green grass. Everything was tingling in anticipation of the uncoming rain. The sky above was dark and full with water waiting to burst. Solena closed her orbs and took in the sweet scent, She couldn't wait. Opening her eyes she hopped over the stream and walked up to Desert. She nuzzled his neck and stood beside him as the first drops hit their backs.
I think I would have remembered passing through a land like this.

By the way Solena acted, it was safe to say she liked Karora. Desert Wind watched her streak past, stopping on the other side of a nearby stream. Her first comment made him realize this land was almost perfect for her, with its smooth, open terrain. There were the streams, but the fae also seemed to enjoy leaping. Smiling, he answered her. “I’m glad you like it,” he said, still looking out at the scenery.
His vision was disrupted as a translucent torpedo hit beneath one of his pools, causing him to blink. The steed turned his crania slightly upward as several more drops of rain plummeted earthward. Sighing contently, he closed his eyes and enjoyed the liquid falling on his face. When he opened them again, he found Solena standing beside him. Desert looked at her for a moment, watching the small spots appear on her pelt as rain hit it.
Reaching out with his maw, he gently nudged her boa and took off. There was no doubt in his mind she would catch him; he was not nearly as swift as the mare. But it didn't really matter. He was flying across a domain he called his own, with the sky pouring down its contents onto him. And he had some one else to share it with. How could he be ungrateful enough to be worried about small things like that?

Solena's orbs closed his satisfaction of feeling the sweet water upon her bodice. When the touch of Desert's maw pushed playfully at her boa, she looked at him with sweet eyes. But to her delite he jumped into a run and flew away, though she was quick to join him. She easily kept his pace, loving ever hoofbeat they made. She smiled at him. When they had gons a little ways she pulled ahead and stopped in front of him. She smiled seductively and flicked her roan banner in front of him as she swung around on her hooves. Making a full circle she stepped forward and put her cheek against his. She enjoyed the burning feeling of them touching, mixed with the cooling that the rain brought.

Ebon locks whipped across his face as Desert slid to a halt, avoiding a crash with Solena. His breaths increased in volume a notch as he regualted his breathing. He felt the fae's warm muzzle touch his cheek, and reached over with his own to nuzzle hers. Ducking his head under hers to reach her other side, he gently scratching behind her auds with his ivories. After a few moments he stopped, backing a step or so. The stag moved to one of the streams, dipping his mug into the cool liquid and eagerly pulling it in. With water dripping from his maw, he raised his head and looked back over his shoulder. Black splotches blurred his vision from constantly blinking, trying to keep the rain from entering his orbs. "Would you like to join me?" he asked her.

Solena had alreayd begun to step forward, when asked to join Derest. She smiled sweetly and scratched his crest with his maw be fore lowering her tiara to drink. She loved water, in all forms. She lifted her head skywards as her desire for water was quenched and the rain had slowed to a light drizzle. She looked about.
Do you have a place where you usually bed down for the night. Or, like I once was, do you sleep where you fall.
She laughed sweetly, like the smooth sound of the water flowing beside them. She looked at him with loving eyes, and a caring smiled.

Desert Wind lowered his maw back to the surface of the water as she joined him. Just before he was about to take a drink, he paused to enjoy Solena's grooming. As soon as her mug left his boa, he continued his motion. A few moments passed by, until the femmora's voice broke the silence. Raising his ebon dial once again, Desert turned to answer her question, which he found a bit odd. "Not really, I just sleep wherever I wish. Why do you ask?"
The stag had noticed Solena had become less quiet since coming here. She smiled more, spoke more, and generally seemed more at home. Perhaps she already felt like she was at home.

Solena's orbs searched the land. Then turned back to Desert as he answered her question and asked one of his own. She smiled.
No reason in particular, just wondering if I could rest my weary legs anywhere I pleased, at the end of the day.
She stepped closer to him, and nudged his withers.
What do you want to do now?
Her flecked orbs gleamed with happiness of a home, and a sweet stallion. She flicked her banner, and lowered her tiara to snuffle the grass. It smelled sweet and tender, fresh with rain. She felt safe here. Lifting her tiara she looked at Desert with contented orbs

The ebon stallion was silent as Solena’s question faded into the humid air. He was thinking. But several moments passed, and nothing came to mind. Finally he craned his boa back, his chocolate orbs locking with the femme’s red-flecked ones. “I really don’t know,” he said, a half-humorous, half-embarrassed smirk forming on his mug. “But it doesn’t matter much,” he added. His attention was pulled from her as the rain picked up pace again. It had slowed greatly, and Desert had thought it was going to stop; but know it was picking up to a steady fall. No matter; they both loved this kind of weather. Shaking his dial to move his matted forelock, Desert Wind looked back to the ren roan mare.
