It was truely the perfect day. The sun was up and warm, it's golden touch shining off the pale blossoms and glistening in the grass. A breeze swept through the tender field, making hte wildflowers dance like millions of rainbow foals. The cherry blossoms sweapt through the air, landing in the lazy river, and dusting along the stallion's creamy hide. His pale dreads and whipcord swung on the wind, dancing amongst the pedals. Ivory blaze tipped back with his skull, nares open to take in the refreshing scents.

Beautiful medium cream pelt shone as the draft stepped softly through the grass that tickled his shins. Occasionally he would stop to take a mouthful, then chew as he wandered on. The land here was rarely explored by the male, seeing as he prefered the coast, but recently he took a kingdom of his own, and needed to learn the island, and find lonesome equine to help his build his herd. Drift Wood wasn't not on a search to find his Queen, nor was he searching for herd members. In fact, he wasn't searching for anything in particular. All he wanted to do was to take a walk, but, if he found a horse of intrest, he wouldn't avoid them.

Quite often his auds would swivel about, to the sound of birds, or the river over a rock, or the wind in the trees and grass. The river appeared befor ehim, and he approached, dropping his soft velvets into the water. He lapped quietly, then rose his boa, his skull following as always. Looking about, he spotted no imediate beasts, but he noticed the growing heat on his back, despite the cool of the breeze. Lifting a stilt, he placed it in the slow water, then the others followed. Smiling to himself, the stallion dunked his face under the water, then tossed it back, a rooster tail of spray flying through the air. What a perfect day.

Sorry, it's been done lol

The blotched brute swankered into the meadow, cherry blossoms drifter from the shady topped trees about him. He stayed in the deeper shadows, dodging sunlight and attention. The former he could not totally escape though. Rays shone from betwixt the trees, splashing life and heat into an otherwise dim and cool enviroment. Being the odd one that he was, Aether gently crept around them, eager not to disturb the peace. The smells were fresh and simple, a gentle breeze carried it throught the meadow. Reaching down, the blue Hessian cropped at the green grasses he stood upon. Hearing a disturbance nearby, Aether raised his crania, stilling his movements.

From the other end of the meadow came a giant, or so Aether believed. To his short stature, everyone was large. From afar he could see the foreign brute was a light, almost milky color, his alabaster tendrils dripping mattedly from his boa. Through squinted eyes Aether watched him, twitching with an over active imagination. The other seemed harmless enough. Creeping from farther out of the trees, the roan bowed his head as the other drank from the river. Though he tried to stay unnoticed, the draft raised his head, splashing water about. Droplets landed on Aethers crania, making him flinch sideways, raising up dust. indignant, he squealed.

"Watch where your splashing."

It was rude, but Aether tended to be a loner, and always lacked good people skills.

The stallion’s wallowing distracted him a moment from the other’s words. Lifting his sopping muzzle, he gave a lazed smile. The other stallion was quite interesting to him, and he couldn’t help but laugh quietly.
“Sorry ‘bout that. I didn’t know anyone else was here.” He said, vocals ringing quite jovially. Then, he dipped his pale velvets into the water and drank. Drift would not let the other’s presence, nor bitter words ruin his day. It hardly bothered him, but after a while he felt his neglect of the other’s presence rather rude.

“Pardon me… forgot my manners. My name’s Drift Wood if you’d care to know.” He sloshed towards the bank, then leaped upon the grassy side and shook out his dreads and whip. “Care to address yours?”

Drift never had been one to be dragged down in another sour mood. There was no point to it. If they were miserable, /they/ were miserable, not him, so why lower his joy? The stallion, also in need of herd members, figured being rude to this creature was not clever. If he was wandering, the newcomer to the river might enjoy the prospect of a safe-haven.
